Upon arrival in Bangkok transfer to hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Sightseeing in Bangkok! Visit Wat Pho also known as Wat Chetupon, which boasts the over 45 meter long and famous, "Reclining Buddha". Wat Pho is also regarded as the first public education and is sometimes called "Thailand's First University". Mural paintings, inscriptions and statues found in the temple-educated people on varied subjects such as literature, warfare, archaeology, astronomy, geology, meditation and is considered, "Home Of The Tradtional Massage".

We will visit Wat Benjamaborpitr ( Marble Temple ) and Wat Trimit-The Golden Buddha- Wat Trimit houses a solid gold statue of Buddha weighing 5.5 tons. The afternoon is free to spend at leisure.

Full Day at leisure to explore Bangkok independently . Later we venture on the Chao Phraya River Cruise with dinner ( By Loy Nava Cruise). This is a luxury rice barge journey on which you will journey along the cultural hearts of Bangkok. As you dine you will be soaking up all the traditional culture while touring on a real antique teakwood rice-barge called the "Tahsaneeya Nava" _ on Bangkok's "River of Kings". Transfer to airport for a short flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before you are transferred to a hotel. Afternoon is at leisure. This evening enjoy a typical Cambodian dinner accompanied with an Aspara dance. This is a traditional Khmer performance which protrays a story through dance.

Sightseeing in Angkor. Visit the fortified city of Angkor Thom which covers an area of 10 square km. Enclosed by a wall and wide moats, the city includes many of Angkor's popular sights. Enter by the monumental SOUTH GATE over a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. Continue to the "Terrace Of The Elephants" and the "Terrace Of The Leper Kings", former spaces for public cermonies, both adorned with dramatic bas reliefs. Visit the ruins of Baphuon, "The Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas, before continuing to the mysterious Bayon Temple. This temple is one of the most popular and compelling in Angkor, explore the galleries of beautifully preserved bas-reliefs and ascend narrow stairs to reach the central sanctuary , where you will find giant stone faces smiling enigmatically down at you from every angle. Visit Ta Keo built by Jayavarman V who ruled from 968 to 1001. It was the first Angkorian monument built entirely of sandstone and was dedicated to Shiva. This summit of the central tower is 50 meters high and is surrounded by four lower towers. Visit Prasat Kravan; the five brick towers were built for Hindu worship in 921 and are notable for the bas reliefs cut into the bricks on the interior walls.

Visit Sras Srang, a basin opposite of Banteay Kdei measuring 800 by 400 meters with a tiny island in the middle where only the stone base remains of what was once a wooden temple. Visi Ta Prohm, one of most popular attractions on Angkor as much of the jungle has not been cleared and it looks very much as most of the Angkor monuments would have appeared when explorers stumbled upon them.

Visit Angkor Wat as sunset, a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu by King Suryavarman II, who reigned between 1131 and 1150. It was constructed over a period of 30 years and illustrates some of the most beautiful examples of Khmer and Hindu art. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. In 1992 the UNESCO World Heritage Committee declared the monument and the whole city of Angkor, A World Heritage Site.

Day 7 : April 5 : Siem Reap/ Ho Chi Minh ( Breakfast is included)

Excursion by boat to Chong Kneas floating village for a short market visit. Start early in the morning to explore the morning market at Chong Kneas village whre tourists can preview the scenery of the communities living around the lake

Enjoy lunch at the local village terrace. After lunch you can do Ox cart or cycling tours to visit villages, the Butterfly Garden, Sugar Plum makers and handicrafts. While sightseeing in Siem Reap we visit Angkor National Museum located on the main road to Angkor. The museum displays artifacts and sculptures from the Angkorian period as well as multi-media exhibitions.

Day 8 - April 6 - Ho Chi Minh ( Breakfast Included)

Sightseeing in Saigon; a vibrant metropolis, Saigon teems with energy, activity and constant motion. Everywhere you look, you see the meeting of tradition and modernity. The emerging modern skyline stands cheek by jowl with colonial buildings and traditional temples. Outside on the streets, young professionals zip by on motorbikes, chatting on cell pones while inside quiet temple courtyards, worshippers pray amidst clouds of incense.


Visit Notre Dame Cathedral built 1877 to 1883 and is set in the heart of Saigon's government quarter. It has neo-Romanesque form and two high square towers, tipped with iron spires. In front of the cathedral is a statue of the Virgin Mary. Visit Central Post Office which is a French styled building with a glass canopy of iron frame and sits right next to the Notre Dame Cathedral. The structure was built between 1886 and 1891 and is by far the largest Post Office in Vietnam.

Visit City Hall ( Hotel De Ville) completed in 1908, at the northern end of Nguyen Hue Boulevard. With its ornate gingerbread facade it looks like the town hall of a French Town. Visit the Opera House. This colonial-era monument is today one of the main places for cultural exchange. (This attraction can only be viewed from the outside.

Next we visit Ben Thanh Market. This is the central market for Saigon. This market and the surrounding streets make up one of the city's liveliest areas. Everything commonly eaten, worn or used by the average resident of Saigon is available here.

Visit Dong Khoi Street. This street is known as "Rue Catinet" during the French years. This is a main shopping street in the center of Saigon where there is a myriad of choices for handicrafts and famous laquerware. Next we take an xcursion to Cu Chi Tunnels never discovered by American forces. These tunnels were an important Vietcong base during the American war. Stretching over 200km, this incredible underground network, dug by hand out of hard laterite stone, connected command posts, hospitals, shelters and weapon factories. Today, you can walk through the area and learn about the day-to-day life of the Vietcong. You will see the cleverly disguised entrances and elaborate booby-traps and even venture inside the tunnels, some of which have been modified to accomodate tourists.

Day 9- April 7 - Hochi Minh / Hoi An to Da Nang ( Breakfast Included) Transfer to airport for a flight to Danang. ,From Danang airport we will then sightsee Hoi An. Hoi An, a picturesque riverside town south of Danang. Known as Faifo to early Western traders, it was one of South East Asia's major international ports during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Now, this beautifully preserved historic city is best seen on foot. The walking tour includes : "The Japanese Covered Bridge Pagoda", which was constructed in 1593 by the Japanese community of Hoi An to link the town with the Chinese quarters across the stream. The bridge was provided with a roof so it could be used as a shelter from rain and sun.

Sa Huynh Museum, located near the Japanese Covered Bridge, contains exhibitions from the earliest period of Hoi An's history. Next we see the Tran Family Chapel. This house was for worshipping ancestors and was built about 200 years ago with donations from family members. The Tran family house traces its origins to China and Japanese styles. Phuoc Kien Assembly hall has a Chinese pagoda built around 1690 and then was restored and enlarged in1900. These structures are common amongst the CHinese clans that were established in the Hoi An area. The temple is dedicated to THien Hau Thanh Mau ( Goddess of The Sea and Protector of Sailors and Fishermen).

***Special Treat*** Lantern Making Workshop: Here we will visit one the many famous lantern workshops in Hoi An. The framework of the lantern will be made already and clients can observe locals applying various brightly dyed cloth on the lamps.

Day 10 : April 08 : Hoi An ( Breakfast & Lunch are included) Today we take a boat trip on the Thu Bon River where we will embark on one of the many colorful local boats at the Hoi An harbor front. We will cruise down the Thu Bon River and enjoy the views of the unspoiled and very scenic countryside. On the way we will stop to visit Thanh Ha Pottery Village, where local families specialize in producing simple earthenware products and we will also pay a visit to "Kim Bong Village" Bill Ali Tour At Kim Bong Villagewhich is famous for its woodcarving and boat building. From that point we will then have an experience on a cooking tour and experience traditional farmers at "Tra Que Vegetable Village" ( traditional massages are offered but not included in this package) where we will select our own ingredients for cooking from a wide and colorful array of foods at the market. After that, we stop at "Mr. Phuoc House" and visit vegetable fields and learn how a traditional farm operates here. There is a cooking class and then we have lunch.

Day 11 : April 9 : Hoi An / Hue ( Breakfast and Dinner Included) By vehicle we will take a drive from Hoi An to Hue where we will sightse in Danang while driving northward. Just outside Danang we will visit the famous Marble Mountains which are 5 stone hillocks. Riddled with caves and shrines, they are said to each represent one of the five elements of the universe. While continuing to the city of Danang, we will briefly pass Non Nuoc Beach, which was a famous spot for American soldiers during the Vietnam War in the 1960's.

We will then tour the Cham Museum which is an elegant colonial building which now houses the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. From Danang, we will journey northwards pas Lang co, a lovely stretch of beach curving outwards between a clear blue lagoon and the East Vietnam Sea, before arriving at Danang. We will then continue along steep mountainous roads with spectacular views of the coastline, crossing dramatic Hai Van Pass, the high dividing line between the climate zones of north and south Vietnam.

Visit the "Old Imperial CIty" located in the heart of Hue. Here we will visit the "Imperial Citadel" which is a vast complex built in the early 19th century and modeled after the Forbidden City of Peking. The original walls stretched from 10km and were surrounded by a wide moat. Today, most of the buildings have been destroyed due to bombing during the Vietnam-American War but the monuments that remain provide a fascinating glimpse into the court life of the Nguyen Dynasty. Approach the city past the striking "Flag Tower" which is a ginat monument with the Veitnamese flag billowing over the imposing "NGO MON GATE" which is the main entrance to the "Imperial Enclosure". Here we enter into an area of spacious courtyards and serene lotus ponds and visit Dien Tho Residence ( Dien Tho Palace) where Vietnam's Queen Mother lived. Afterwards we will visit Thai Hoa Palace which has the magnificently decorated reception hall called the "Halls Of The Mandarins".We will also see the original Nine Dynastic Urns and other sites which will include a visit to the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum.

Bill Ali Tour Thien Mu PagodaDay 12 : April 10: HUE (Breakfast And Dinner Included) Excursion to Thien Mu Pagoda with a boat trip on the Huong Giang river, where we will embark on a local boat cruise down the famous "Perfume River" to the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda. Thien Mu Pagoda is an elegant, seven tiered octagonal tower which has become Hue's most widely recognizable monument. During the early 1960's, this became the center of an anti-government protest and the site of the famous self-immolation of the monk, Thich Quang Duc. Hue served as the capital of Vietnam for more than 140 years. It houses ancient temples, imperial buildings and French style edifices. It was established in the 17th century. Visit the imperial tomb of Tu Duc. Tu Duc, the longest reigning Vietnamese emperor, designed and built this elegant tomb during his lifetime, using it as a retreat for meditation, reading and theater performances. Take some time to soak in the tranquil atmosphere and wander among the gracefully proportioned pavilions, courtyards and lotus ponds. Afterwards we will visit the "Imperial Tomb of Khai Dinh", dramatically located on a hillside. The monumental tombs of the Nguyen dynasty were completed in 1931 and this particular tomb incorporates elements of traditional Vietnamese architecture.


Day 13 : April 11th (Breakfast & Lunch included)

Transfer to Danang airport for a short flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival by vehicle from Hanoi to Halong we will transfer to hotel.


Day 14 : April 12th: Halong Bay/ Hanoi ( Breakfast & Lunch included)

Excursion by boat through Halong Bay including lunch ( 4 hours, private) where we board a charming traditional authentic wooden boat for cruising though the bay. En-route lunch will be served. While on the cruise we will pass by some stunning rock formations with peculiar names such as "Stone Dog", "Incense burner(Ding Huong)", "Fighting Rooster(Ga Choi)",etc... At the core of the islets there are two wonderful caves that have grottoes to visit. Their names are, "Thien Cung(Heavenly Residence Grotto)", and "Dau Go (Driftwood Grotto)". Then we will disembark at Halong pier. By vehicle we will journey from Halong to Hanoi City.

Day 15 : April 13th : Hanoi (Breakfast included)

First we will sightsee in Hanoi. Although it is the modern day capital of Vietnam, Hanoi still retains the mystery and charm of past centuries. The narrow lanes and traditional shop houses invite us to an exciting exploration while walking around. The many beautiful public spaces- lakes, parks, tree-lined boulevards and monuments give the city an air of elegance and harmony blended with nature which makes Hanoi a really uniquecity amongst the Asian capitals. We will also visit "Hoan Kiem Lake", "Ngoc Son Temple" and the "Rising Sun Bridge".

"Hoam Kiem" means " Lake Of The Returned". This is a lake in the historical center of Hanoi capital. The lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves as a focal point for its public life. Legend has it that King Le Loi handed a magic sword called " Heaven's Will" which brought victory in his revolt against the Chinese Ming Dynasty back to the "Golden Turtle God In The Lake". The "Tortoise Tower" (Thap Rua) stands on a small island near the center of the lake and is one of the central points of the legend.


The temple was erected in the 18th century. It honors the 13th century military leader Tran Hung Dao who distinguished himself in the fight against the Yuan-Mongol invaders. Van Xuong, a scholar and Nguyen Van Sieu, a Confucian master and famous writer were in charge of repairs made to the temple in 1864. Jade island is connected to the shore by the wooden red painted Huc-bridge ( The "Huc" means "Morning Sunlight Bridge"). We will also visit the Old Quarter where they have well over a thousand years of history and remain one of Vietnam's most lively and unusual places where one can buy limitless handicrafts; wool clothes, cosmetics, gold and silver jewelry, silk clothes, herbal remedies and teas


We will then explore by foot the maze of back streets which is fascinating since there are limitless things to buy. Next we will visit the museum of Ethnology where we will briefly learn about the Ethnic diversity of the Vietnamese with art and artifacts from the 54 ethnic groups that inhabit the country. Inside the museum are detailes descriptions of minority groups with examples of their traditional clothing and way of life. Outside are faithful reconstructions of traditional longhouses, cemeteries and other distinctive ethnic buildings. Next we will visit a really unique show; a water puppet show. This is a fantastic art form originating in the North Vietnam and best seen in Hanoi.

Day 16 : April 14 : Hanoi ( Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Today we will take a trip to Duong Lam village, Thay and Tay Phuong pagoda. We will travel west of Hanoi to Duong Lam village, one of the country's few remaining ancient villages. It is a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River Delta which still preserves many hundred year-old houses. Visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu commune which is the only hamlet whose original village entrance remains intact. Continue through the narrow alleys to see the old laterite houses which make up this charming village. Enjoy a picnic lunch en-route.

After your lunch, continue to visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes; Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.

On the way back to Hanoi, stop en-route at Tay Phuong and Thay Pagoda. The pagoda offers beautiful architecture and ancient and unique sculptures. Meanwhile, Tay Phuong pagoda was one of the first pagodas built in Vietnam and has manificent dragons and demons carved into the wooden roof. From here we will continue back to Hanoi which is a 45 minute drive.

Tourists may obtain a Cambodian Visa for $30 upon arrival at the airports in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, etc... Two passport sized photographs are required.

C. 30-59 days : $300

D. 15-29 days : $500

G. Written notice of cancellation must be received by Bill Ali Tour by mail and fax. Oral cancellation not accepted.

H. In addition to the above state cancellation charges, if airline tickets have already been issued at the time of cancellation (regardless of the number of days prior to departure), the traeler will be assessed an additional airline cancellation penalty and service charge purusant to the airlines rules and regulations.

Post departure travel insurance ( include interruption) is included iftour package is paid in full 70 days prior to departure. Each passenger will have their own individual policy.
