Love it or hate it, one thing is certain, you just can’t ignore it. Mumbai is a city of dreams and despair, drama and dazzle, heartbreaking poverty amidst staggering grandness. Vibrant, vivid and electrifying, the city’s rise from the dowry of a Portuguese queen in 1661 to the country’s financial capital, foremost seaport, and home to the world’s largest film industry, has been nothing short of meteoric.
